Certificates & Awards
Public Policy, Global Affairs, and Society (PGS) awards three types of certificates to recognize students’ outstanding contributions and achievements. These certificates serve as formal acknowledgements of excellence across academic performance, leadership, and community engagement, reflecting the program’s commitment to holistic student development.
Certificate of Recognition
The Certificate of Recognition is awarded to students who have demonstrated dedication and commitment through active participation and voluntary contributions to PGS activities. This includes supporting program events, assisting in academic or administrative initiatives, and contributing to the overall vibrancy of the PGS community. This certificate highlights the importance of service, responsibility, and collaborative spirit, recognizing students who go beyond academic requirements to support and strengthen the program.
Certificate of Academic Distinction
The Certificate of Academic Distinction is awarded to students who attain the highest level of academic excellence within the program. This recognition is reserved for individuals who demonstrate exceptional intellectual ability, consistent high performance, and a strong commitment to academic rigor. The certificate reflects the program’s emphasis on analytical excellence, critical thinking, and scholarly achievement, and serves as a mark of distinction for students who excel at the highest academic level.
Certificate of Distinguished Leadership
The Certificate of Distinguished Leadership is awarded to students who have been elected and have served as the President of the PGS Student Council. This certificate recognizes exemplary leadership, dedication to student representation, and the ability to guide and inspire peers within the program. It reflects the program’s commitment to cultivating leadership, responsibility, and public service, acknowledging those who have made significant contributions to the governance and development of the PGS student community.
Together, these certificates reflect the PGS vision of nurturing well-rounded graduates who strive for academic excellence, demonstrate integrity in leadership, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Note: All certificates are formally registered and serve as official recognition of students’ achievements and contributions. Requests for the issuance of certificates are submitted by the PGS Director to the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science for consideration. The granting of certificates is subject to the discretion of both the Director and the Dean, whose decisions are regarded as final. In certain cases, if concerns regarding conduct or behavior arise, the issuance of a certificate may not be approved.
