Admission Requirements

1. High School Qualification

• Applicants must have graduated from high school, passed an equivalent high school standard test, be in their final year of high school (Grade 12 in the U.S. system or Year 13 in the British system), or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by Chulalongkorn University
• Before applying, applicants using GED, IGCSE, IB, or another international qualification must obtain a Degree Equivalency Certificate from Chulalongkorn University’s Academic Testing Center (ATC). For more information, please visit https://hsces.atc.chula.ac.th.

2. English Proficiency Score

Applicants may submit either an IELTS Academic OR TOEFL iBT score. 

Test scores must be valid on the date of application submission, which requires the test to have been issued within the preceding two (2) years.

Option 1: IELTS

• An Overall Score of at least 6.5, with the following minimum section scores:
• • Reading: 6.0
  • Listening: 6.0
  • Writing: 6.0
  • Speaking: 6.0

IELTS Academic is the only IELTS test type accepted.

*IELTS General Training and other IELTS test types will not be accepted. IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) is also not accepted.

**Applicants must submit a valid IELTS Academic score from a single test sitting. Scores combined from multiple test sittings will not be considered.

Option 2: TOEFL iBT

TOEFL iBT:

• An Overall Score of at least 90, with the following minimum section scores:
• • Writing: 21
  • Listening: 22
  • Reading: 22
  • Speaking: 22

New TOEFL iBT (2026+):

• An Overall Score of at least 4.5, with the following minimum section scores:
• • Writing: 4.5
  • Listening: 5.0
  • Reading: 4.5
  • Speaking: 4.0

The Program accepts TOEFL iBT and the New TOEFL iBT (2026 and later) only.

*Other TOEFL test formats, including the TOEFL Home Edition, will not be accepted. TOEFL MyBest Scores will not be accepted.

**Applicants must submit a valid TOEFL score from a single test sitting. Scores combined from multiple test sittings will not be considered.

3. SAT Score

Test scores must be valid on the date of application submission, which requires the score to have been issued within the preceding two (2) years.

• A minimum score of 500 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW);

OR

• A minimum score of 1,200 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW) and Math combined.

SAT Superscores will not be accepted.

Applicants must submit their SAT score from a single test sitting. Scores combined from multiple test sittings will not be considered.

Required Documents

All applicants must submit the following documents through the PGS Admission Portal

(The admission portal will open on 26 November 2026 for the Early Admission 2027 round):

1. One 1-inch photograph — front-facing, wearing a school uniform or formal attire, with no hat or sunglasses, taken within the last 6 months.
2. A copy of the educational certificate, certified as a true copy and signed by the applicant.
3. A copy of the academic transcript, certified as a true copy and signed by the applicant.
4. A copy of the required test score(s) as specified above, certified as a true copy and signed by the applicant.
5. A copy of the national ID card or passport (for international applicants), certified as a true copy and signed by the applicant.
6. A copy of the proof of application fee payment, issued by the bank and clearly showing the applicant’s full name, certified as a true copy and signed by the applicant.

Conditional Documents

Submit the following documents only if applicable:

7. A copy of the name or surname change certificate, if the name or surname differs across any submitted documents. The copy must be certified as a true copy and signed by the applicant.
8. A student status certificate issued by the applicant’s current school, if the applicant is still enrolled in school.
