Director's Message
Welcome to the Bachelor of Arts Program in Political Science (Public Policy, Global Affairs, and Society), or PGS. It is both an honor and a responsibility to lead a program that is designed to prepare students for an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
The PGS program is guided by a clear commitment to academic rigor, intellectual discipline, and the development of graduates who embody global citizenship. In alignment with the philosophy of the Faculty of Political Science, we emphasize not only the pursuit of knowledge but also a deep sense of public service, responsibility, and devotion to the common good. Our objective is to cultivate students who are intellectually grounded, ethically aware, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to society at both national and global levels.
To achieve these objectives, we place strong emphasis on discipline in learning. Students are expected to engage seriously with their studies, while discipline, maturity, and universal manners are carefully cultivated as part of their academic formation.
The structure of the PGS program is carefully designed to ensure that students build a strong academic foundation during their first two years. During this period, students will develop critical thinking skills, analytical capabilities, and a solid understanding of key concepts across public policy, global affairs, and society. By the end of this stage, they will be fully prepared to continue their studies in the third and fourth years at our partner institutions abroad, equipped with both the academic competence and the maturity required to succeed in an international environment.
In a world where knowledge evolves rapidly and can quickly become outdated, we are committed to cultivating resilient learners. Our students must be able to adapt, to learn continuously, and to take on complex and demanding challenges with confidence.
As Director, I am fully committed to ensuring that every student in the PGS program is rigorously trained, well-prepared, and supported throughout this journey. This shared commitment reflects the enduring values of public service and devotion that define the Faculty of Political Science.
I look forward to accompanying you on this demanding yet rewarding academic journey.
