Curriculum Structure
The PGS curriculum follows a 2+2 dual-degree structure. Students complete the first two years of study at Chulalongkorn University, followed by their third and fourth years at a partner university.
Students complete 72 credits at Chulalongkorn University during the first two years.
12 credits of General Language (Gen-Lang).
Students select foreign-language courses from the approved curriculum according to their academic interests and course availability. The PGS Executive Board may revise or replace the languages and courses offered, as appropriate, to meet students' academic needs.
9 credits of General Education (Gen-Ed).
Students select courses from the approved curriculum according to their academic interests and course availability.
51 credits of disciplinary and interdisciplinary study.
Students complete the compulsory PGS courses that provide the disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge and skills required to achieve the program's learning outcomes.
During Years 3 and 4, students complete study at a designated partner university equivalent to at least 48 Chulalongkorn University credits. Credits earned at the partner university are recognized and converted in accordance with the applicable academic regulations and the approved credit-transfer or credit-conversion arrangements between Chulalongkorn University and the partner university.
Therefore, to graduate from PGS, students must complete a minimum of 120 credits in total. Of these, 72 credits are completed at Chulalongkorn University, while the remaining credits are completed at a PGS partner university, in accordance with the applicable curriculum, credit-transfer arrangements, and academic requirements of both institutions.
